About the Bundle
Start with the Behavioral Approach to Understanding Dementia course, where you will learn how we conceptualize dementia from a behavior-analytic perspective. This course will teach you the basics to understand dementia and how we conceptualize the changes in behaviour we see displayed by people with dementia from a behavior - analytic perspective. We'll look at the research that supports this conceptualization and the implications for clinical practice with this population.
Then, gain a deeper understanding of how to manage behaviors that challenge in individuals with dementia using evidence-based behavioral approaches in the Managing Common Behavioral Challenges by Adults with Dementia course. In this course, you'll explore effective strategies for addressing behaviors like agitation, aggression, wandering, hoarding, and more. You’ll learn not only the research on interventions for these behaviors, but also important considerations for behavior analysts who are asked to reduce these behaviors.
Finally, develop essential knowledge and practical tools to support older adults with intellectual disabilities (ID) who are developing or diagnosed with dementia with the Intellectual Disabilities and Dementia course. You’ll learn to recognize early signs, understand the diagnostic process, and explore how dementia presents differently in individuals with ID. Grounded in current behavioural research, including the Lucock et al. (2018) review and real data from Dr Lucock's PhD, the course offers actionable strategies for monitoring and support, preparing you to deliver more effective, dignified care.

Definitely! You don't need to be certified to want to learn more about ABA with older adults. Many masters degrees in ABA don't have any content about this niche area, so seeking out additional learning beyond the course curriculum is a great way to develop your skills as a behavior analyst.
Absolutely! Our course is available to anyone in the world and we don't think it would be right to restrict access. The content is suitable for Behavior Analysts interested in behavioral gerontology no matter where you live and work. I try to use American spellings wherever possible but as a British Behavior Analysts, I do sometimes forget and slip into British English spellings :)
All courses are paid for via PayPal, crediit card (Stripe) or Apple Pay so you have peace of mind that your details are protected.
Some prior knowledge of ABA is assumed - I will use terms like reinforcement, stimulus control, and MOs without definition. No prior knowledge of work with older adults is needed to enjoy the courses!
